She came through my window that night
and so bypassed
every
locked door
to stay at my bedside despite
my not believing in
love
anymore.
She came in the guise of daybreak,
for which I mistook her
initially,
but as soon as I was
fully awake
I could not believe what my eyes did see;
there she did materialize,
this girl
with the curled
amber hair,
and
no matter how much I rubbed my eyes,
she simply remained –
standing
there.
*
"Are you an angel?“, I softly inquired
( breathless I was; frozen in awe ),
but she deemed no
answer
required,
she just smiled and closed my dropped jaw.
Stunned was I–,
when she let her touch
l i n g e r
to slowly move upward
and reach my
lips
,
and as I kissed
her
tantalizing
finger
she pounced on the bed
and straddled my
hips.
Her hands clutched my jaw in angelic thirst
as she smashed her lips onto mine,
and I knew that I was her first;
the first of this girl so
sweetly divine,
tormented
by a longing;
a craving
similar
to my own,
which is why I don’t think
we were
misbehaving,
though causing the heavens to
shudder
with our every
moan.
*
Lost in each other, we spent the long night,
‘til she left–
in the hush
of
morning light,
and
truly, I could not tell you
if she was sent
from
above,
but when I woke, I did wake
with
renewed faith in
love.
